How to apply
Complete the Steps
Step 1 – If you haven’t read our the information on our ‘Work with Us’ page, click here to do so now. This page will give you more information about our company and roles available, and allow you to consider whether you would fit well into our team.
Step 2 – Complete the application form by clicking on the link below. The questions on the form will cover:
- Your understanding of the role for which you are applying
- Your work experience
- Specifically any cooking/catering and housekeeping experience, whether professional or otherwise
- 2-day menu plan (scroll down for more information 👇)
This is an important step and any CVs or applications that aren’t supported by a completed application form can’t be considered.
Step 3 – Email a copy of your CV, and recent head and shoulders photograph to jobs@thealpinegeneration.com
Are you eligible to work in France?
Applications are open to:
- EU Passport Holders
- French Residency Permit holders (Carte/Titre de Séjour)
- UK Passport Holders*
- Those with passports from other nations who hold a valid working visa for France, or have a visa application in progress
*UK passport holders will also be considered where substantial and relevant experience is evident, ideally previous winter season experience in a catered chalet environment. Please note that UK passport holders now require a work permit and long-stay visa to work in France for the full season. The Alpine Generation will apply for work permits for successful candidates and provide assistance with the visa process.

Menu Plan
As part of any application which involves chalet hosting, we ask you to provide a 2-day menu plan. This should be included on your application form in the relevant section.
Your menu plan should follow the catering model we offer to our guests, and be dishes which you would be confident preparing by yourself for 6 to 12 guests. See our Catered Service page for more information on what we provide to our guests.
You should as a minimum include:
- A hot breakfast option
- Afternoon cake
- Starter
- Main course
- Dessert
