Running Training Camps

Overview

Our 7 night running programmes are complemented by luxury accommodation and healthy meals in the heart of the stunning French Alps. The programmes are based in Morzine, a thriving medium-sized town in the heart of the French Alps that has established itself as a hub for outdoor pursuits.

Our luxury chalet, Croc Blanc, holds 12 people in 6 bedrooms (4 twins and 2 doubles) each with private en-suite. The chalet benefits from a private spa and sauna.

Beginners’ Run Week: 30th September 2018

Ideal for runners starting out on their journey. Whether you are aiming for a 5K, a 10K or just looking to become more comfortable with regular running, this is the week for you. The runs will be easy-paced with opportunities to challenge yourself and a host of additional cross-training activities. Fully supported by a qualified Leader in Running Fitness, you will have everything you need to enjoy both road and trail runs in a relaxed environment.  At the end of the day, put your feet up, rest your legs in the chalet spa and enjoy healthy nutritious food prepared for you whilst you socialise with other runners.

Intermediate Run Week: 7th October 2018

Ready to step things up a notch? This week is aimed at runners who can comfortably knock out a 10km run and are training for a half marathon or longer. Supported by a qualified Leader in Running Fitness, you will enjoy a variety of distance, terrain and elevation to push your pace and train your lungs in a fun, sociable environment. Additional cross-training activities can also be included to really make the most of your week. After a rewarding session, relax in your luxury chalet with spa and enjoy tasty, nutritious food.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Suzette McQuie grew up in country New South Wales, Australia. Lacking anything worth watching on the 3 television channels available, Suzette’s childhood was spent on motorbikes, water-skiing and riding horses on friends’ farms.

In her adult years, she moved to the United Kingdom to explore more of the world, seeing over 40 countries in her travels and finding adventure in far flung places. Suzette took up running in 2007 but found it challenging with no support. Picking it back up again in 2013 and using the support network of friends and running groups for encouragement and advice, Suzette went on to run over a hundred half marathons (52 of these in a single year) and completed 4 full marathons running a Boston Marathon qualifying time on 3 occasions, then competing in Boston itself.

Suzette believes heavily in the power of community within sport and has previously formed a running club in her workplaces as well as being an ambassador for a women’s triathlon clothing range. It was after winning a local triathlon, she was inspired to spend more time open water swimming and in doing so was selected for Team GB Age Group Aquathlon team who she will compete for in the World Championships in Denmark in July 2018 and in Ibiza at the European Championships in October 2018.

Suzette holds a Master’s degree in Project Management and has spent 20 years in the IT industry perfecting her organisation skills before leaving the rat race to work in the French Alps as a chalet host.
